Osteoporosis drugs may not be best choice

New informaltion is coming to light that the long term use of drugs used to treat osteoporosis may do more harm than good.
A study in the Annals of Internal Medicine found that women taking Biphosphonates appear to actually face a higher risk of a rare spontaneous mid shaft femoral fracture. Healing can take months or years and lead to significant complications
The long term use of these drugs needs to tailored to each individual patient’s risk and bone mineral content.
